Guard Rolling

Need your Guards Rolled?

Lets get rolling ...

What is Guard Rolling?

Guard rolling is the process of reshaping and folding the inner lip of your vehicle’s wheel arch (guard/fender) to create extra clearance between the tyre and the guard. This prevents rubbing when using wider wheels, lower suspension, or aggressive tyre setups.

Why Would I Need My Guards Rolled?

You may need guard rolling if your tyres are scraping against the guards when driving, turning, or going over bumps. It’s commonly required for cars with aftermarket wheels, lowered suspension, or low-profile tyres.

Will guard rolling damage my car?

When done professionally, guard rolling does not damage paint or panels. Our technicians use specialised heated tools to prevent cracking or chipping, ensuring a smooth and safe finish.

Can all cars have guard rolling done?

Most vehicles can, but the result depends on the type of guard, the thickness of the metal, and the condition of the paint. Some cars with brittle or aged paint may require extra care.

Does guard rolling make my guards wider?

No, guard rolling does not push the guard outward. Instead, it folds the inner lip flat. If you need more clearance than rolling provides, we may recommend a process called "guard flaring."

How long does guard rolling take?

On average, guard rolling takes about 30–60 minutes per guard, depending on the vehicle and the amount of adjustment needed.

Is guard rolling permanent?

Yes. Once the guard lip is rolled, it does not return to its original shape. It’s a one-time modification.

How much does guard rolling cost?

Pricing varies depending on the number of guards (front, rear, or all four) and the vehicle type. Contact us for an exact quote.

Will I still need a wheel alignment after guard rolling?

Guard rolling does not affect suspension geometry, so a wheel alignment is not required. However, if you’ve lowered your car or installed new wheels, an alignment is always recommended.
